Apologies for 2 months of silence, sadly can’t promise that it will not happen again, cause my studies and then parties with great uni friends take all the time, but I will try to take my camera out on some occasions:)

Was happy to meet this guy who is a native Budapestian:) And if I remember right his name is Adam (if not correct me please). I loved the rockabilly-cowboy touch:)

A week ago, while going home from work at night, outside of one bar I saw a perfectly looking guy. And guess what? Of course I had no camera with me I don’t think I regretted anything that much (recently) maybe close to the time few weeks ago when I was too shy to complement this black girl with awesome hair and the cutest face full of freckles. I wanted to shout: ‘you’re the cutest girl I’ve ever seen!’ but the internet café was full and I chickened out. So I had night terrors for not photographing the guy, so at least I’ll describe him to you. He had a shaved head and incredible (worth of Lord Byron) side burns. He was wearing a short sleeved greenish-yellow tiny checkered shirt, blue folded jeans and slim red suspenders. It was as though Beethoven had met the Clockwork orange lads, beautiful!

Although this post is about Miranda:) I saw her from the back and right away liked her ginger hair and polka dot play-suit. To tell you the truth, shoes were the deciding factor. I said to myself: ‘if she’s wearing flip flops it’s not happening’. And man, how happy I was she had really cute loafers on! Miranda is from Bristol if am not wrong, she’s very cute, bubbly and has a nice style, check her out!

I have been embarrassed with my constant bragging about how’ it was too dark’, or ‘I have a wrong lens’ and etc. so the quality of pictures is poor, but while browsing Sartorialist one day, I stumbled upon his post where he tells how happy he was when he saw this girl on a bicycle in the street, early in the morning and his camera settings were all magically right for the picture to come out well. So even the great Scott Schuman has the same earthly problems with shooting people. That made me feel better and not so stupid/guilty about my complains.

It has been awhile, I know. I missed a few really crazy outfits weeks ago, didn’t have a camera with me. But then yesterday, Rafa (very nice name by the way!) from Australia came in. First I thought she’s really pretty and then I really liked her necklace and kind of everything about her looks. Enjoy!

Back to teen island

So here I am, back to Ios, Cycladic island, a place with best beaches, worst alcohol and the biggest teen tourist population! I opened an internet cafe again and finally started catching youngsters for snaps. It’s not that easy, cause they are truly in a hurry to get as many one Euro shots as possible:) Wouldn’t count these girls in, they had time to stop and didn’t hesitate.

Also noticed that tattoos independently found their way into this blog. I like that. And I like colours and these girls, from Italy by the way, were pretty colourful:)

Stylish pride

So this Saturday, holding on to my tradition, I went to Athens pride. This is my third time and as expected – a great one:) Every year there’s more and more people gathering for the march and then the party. It is always different and surprising. And the joy is only growing! By now I can tell you that am an absolute gay pride junkie. It’s like you enter a bubble of supreme happiness for a few hours. There is so much color and smiling, and laughter. I don’t think I have ever seen a gathering of that many people where everyone is constantly smiling.

This year I saw a lot of nicely dressed people, so instead of stopping every one of them, I kinda followed them and photographed them while in motion, like a proper paparazzi (or more like a crazy stalker). Well, enough said! Check out the beauty!

This is crazy. Summer is here, natural sauna situation in Greece and the only thing I can dream about is autumn clothing! Basically this post was kinda inspired by my obsession with a tv show called Big Love and a post in a blog animals in dresses about tomboys. Tv show Big Love is about a mormon polygamist family living in Utah. I was kinda fascinated with a polygamist style. It is some sort of mix of modest Victorian and country style with French braided hair puffed up in the front. Usually the dresses are too big, with huge shoulders, but they really did their best creating Chloe Sevigny’s style in this show. She turned the polygamist look into stylish and sexy. Maybe I’ll do one post especially for my beloved Chloe:) Anyway, watching this show reminded me how much I like cowboy clothes (still can’t get over my mom throwing away my cowboy boots).

Animals in dresses entry on tomboys (and finding another blog on this matter) also pushed me towards this. I know people like to categorize everything and name everything. There would be nothing wrong with a word “tomboy” (a girl that acts or dresses in a masculine manner) if it didn’t imply certain stereotypes, for example, that there is a certain behavior linked only to men or to women. For example, if a girl likes sailing or hiking she is a tomboy (masculine) like these activities are male prerogative. I know this was all born in a patriarchal discourse, and is difficult to articulate differently but it’s time for such categories to leave our language or at least put another meaning to it. If a girl is wearing a 3 piece suit, she’s just wearing a suit, no need to call her a tomboy. Aesthetics transcend sex and gender.

So here’s my obsession with western chic as I call it:) First is a little star of Cohen drama ‘True Grit” Hailee Steinfeld. And second is a gorgeous Argentinian stylist – Marina Munoz. I can easily say that this look is actually one of my favorites.

Well, the weather got warmer and spotting nice outfits became easier:)

Thing is, most of the people are pussies, always on the safe side. I miss crazy, ridiculous and extravagant outfits, even in the day time. Am not asking for Leigh Bowery, cause I doubt there would be such genius in the town as small as Kaunas. It just really bothers me, this clean, neat look with like a black bow in a perfect hair, white shirt, beige pants and a brown bag. I want dirt and uncombed hair, freaky colors! I think now even a horrific psychedelic trance lover with neon pink dreadlocks would get a pass from me. I want crazy people, please do something about it!
